About the producer

The Mekarsari group is a collective of smallholder farmers working along the Mount Tilu pass, east of Ciwidey in West Java. They manage their own wet milling, processing cherry down to parchment before delivering to a trusted nearby mill in Gambung. Every farmer is registered, which means every bag can be traced back to the farm it came from. That kind of accountability is rare, and worth noting. 

Where it comes from

Mekarsari village sits in the highlands of Bandung Regency, tucked along a mountain pass at 1,300 to 1,600 meters. West Java's volcanic soils and cool elevation are what give this coffee its weight and structure.

Processing notes

Washed processed, meaning the fruit is fully removed before the beans are dried. Grade 1 signals rigorous sorting.
