Where it comes from
Banko Gotiti is a small village and washing station in southern Ethiopia, situated near the borders of Yirgacheffe and Gedeb at elevations between 1,950 and 2,200 meters. This corner of Ethiopia carries serious weight. Yirgacheffe is widely regarded as the birthplace of arabica coffee, and the surrounding region has produced some of the most celebrated naturals and washed coffees in the world. Being in this proximity means access to generations of farming knowledge, ideal growing conditions, and the kind of terroir that produces coffees like this one.
Processing notes
Washed process, meaning the fruit is fully removed before the beans are dried, allowing the true character of the bean and the region to shine through in the cup.
